Hi Everyone! My name is Anya Swain (she/her), and I am a holistic and collaborative mental health professional skilled in providing short-term psychotherapy to individuals who experience mood disorders, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, crisis, or relational challenges. My approach is informed by trauma and attachment perspectives, with a keen awareness of clients' social contexts. I am an internationally trained mental health professional with a Master’s equivalent degree in clinical psychology from Russia. In my home country, I worked with adopted families and adults in private practice. I also hold an MSc in Family Relations and Human Development from the University of Guelph and have spent the past seven years working as a researcher in developmental psychology and childhood disability. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new coffee shops, and visiting art exhibitions at the AGO.
