Taylor is Registered Social Worker and a Masters of Social Work graduate from Carleton University. She began her career as an Emergency Department Social Worker in Crisis Services and from there continued in various positions within healthcare including neurology, nephrology, and long-term care. She has provided support to individuals and families coping with illness, grief, and major life transitions. Taylor has earned a certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She very much values a person-centered approach and practices from an anti-oppressive lens. During her masters, Taylor completed a research project to address impacts of seniors living in social isolation, and a clinical practicum with the Ontario Bariatric Centre of Excellence through the Ottawa Hospital.
