Emily has several years of experience working in strategy and business development, partnership development, and research for community organizations, university research programs and in the private sector. She holds an MA in Critical Disability Studies in the School of Health and Policy Management from York University. Emily has led national and provincial evaluation studies on health services and workplace health for disability organizations. Her work aims to develop collaborative partnerships, to mobilize knowledge to different audiences and to inform program, service, and practice improvements. Emily is passionate about destigmatizing mental health and advocating for individuals to be fully supported in their life, work, relationship, and health goals. Emily is an active board member for Spinal Cord Injury Ontario and sits on their quality committee, and she has played a significant role in growing their signature event, Comedy Night. She acted as the Co-chair of the Volunteer Engagement team for PrideHouseTo. Outside of work, Emily enjoys paddleboarding with her dog, playing board games, and learning new languages.
